My part-time summer job almost 10 years ago turned into a full-time career after college. I studied construction management, but I got the best hands-on carpentry training during my summers on job sites.
Today my carpentry workload varies and is based on the job site needs — from framing to finish carpentry work. I still prefer the problem-solving aspect of framing, and I enjoy watching the bones of a home rise from just a foundation.
At work, I’ve been known to crack a joke or two. I like to keep people’s spirits up. At home, I like to hang with my family and hit the gym.
