Victorian Eclectic, Cambridge

This complete renovation of a historic Harvard Square Victorian featured a tale of two styles. The historic exterior was preserved and restored, and the landscape was enhanced to create a private and pastoral haven in the midst of the bustling surroundings. Inside, the full house was completely updated with an eclectic mix of transitional, international, traditional, and modern elements. The multi-story, winding central staircase is the hub of the house, leading to spacious and family-friend living spaces and private bedrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms feature modern marble, while traditional paneling remained with the addition of leather upholstery. The project featured a wonderful collaboration with designer Nate Berkus and architect Steve Hart, and created a very personal space for the young family.
