This new home was built on a large site set back off of a main street in Hingham. Previously the site of a collapsing Royal Barry Willis cape, the clients wanted to keep to simple New England forms while moving the overall feel of the home in a more modern direction. The exterior consists of 5 simple building shapes – three attached and two free-standing – clad in cedar shingles, shiplap siding, New England fieldstone, and standing seam metal roofs. The interior features an open and modern floor plan, monochromatic color scheme, an open riser steel staircase, and a poured concrete fireplace.
