These additions to a 1677 North Shore Colonial were designed to bring modern living to an antique home, while respecting the traditional charm and coziness of the property. Additions were placed within existing historic retaining walls, and allowed the living space of the house to open onto the lovely fields and grounds that surround the house. Original panel details were reproduced to tie the new sunroom to the existing sitting room, and antique beams were re-purposed to echo the existing structural elements of the home.
